Poor David Cameron can’t stop his government approving a 15% pay rise for MPs!

The country is on its knees because of bad parliamentary decisions and subsequent waste of tax-payers’ money. Didn’t see that coming.

Well done Parliament!

Yes…well done to all the MPs who are voting on these bad decisions which continue to ruin the UK’s economy.

Let’s see…these MPs are overpaid as it is.  Overpaid, yes they are.  Plus they’ve made mistakes they don’t have to pay for personally.  The tax-payer picks up the tab and also suffers cuts in services and benefits, while the MPs just carry on taking their huge wage for being shit at the job WE’RE paying them to do.

But that’s not all.  NO…

You see, not happy with still drawing a huge wage in spite of the above and after consistently cocking up in several other areas too, they are to receive a substantial pay rise at a percentage that THEY think WE will believe puts them on equal footing with the rest of us.  Yes, the rest of us who are paying them to mess up.

I don’t blame them.  I mean, how dare we assume we should get a piddly few more pounds of our shit wages each year at a percentage rate that would see them getting a massive pay rise?

What greedy bastards we all are!  I feel quite ashamed, to be honest.  I mean, we’ve already had a right go at them all for claiming ridiculously high expenses (that we pay for).  It’s only right they be rewarded with a pay rise to compensate. Poor them.

Hang on!  What’s that?  They’re actually going to get a 15% pay rise?  Can I have one of those? No?  Of course I can’t, but I can bloody well pay even more tax to ensure greedy MPs can continue to live the lifestyle they’ve become accustomed to!  I’ll do that then, shall I?

What’s even more frustrating is poor old David Cameron can’t even block the proposal to whack up all their wages!  That’s right…poor him!  I wonder if he’ll be offered a similar pay rise.  Can he block it?  Will he refuse it?  Probably not allowed to.  Poor him.  Hmmm.

Looks like our Prime Minister, the leader of our country who we all thought was in charge of this entire pantomime (Oh no he isn’t), is unable to say no to a huge increase in MPs’ wages which he reckons he disagrees with!  Why?

…and if that’s the case, what the hell is he for?

And where is he while all this is going on?  Pakistan.  Can I afford to go there?  No.   I can’t even afford to go to the shops.

Yes, but what about that survey the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) did using the opinions of 100 anonymous MPs who said they were underpaid?  Yes! What about that unrealistic, useless and totally stupid survey, eh?  Exactly!  We really can’t complain!  It’s all there in black and white for us to see and understand with our naive little peasant brains.

Remember that survey? The one that revealed a bunch of anonymous MPs actually thought a 32% rise would be okay!  Come on now…be sensible!

Let’s face it, the UK is financially knackered, but as far as IPSA is concerned 100 MPs anonymously stated they were underpaid so  ‘ave it!!  The fact they’re responsible for voting on an increase on their own wages is fucking ludicrous!  Who would say no to a pay rise and vote against it?

So much for the MPs’ pay freeze we were all so grateful for!  Fuck that right away.  They’ve been there, done that, didn’t like it.  Now we’ve got to repay their generosity by making up for it a squillion times over!  15%?  That means a rise from roughly £66k to £75k!  Have a laugh!

However, they will have to pay higher contributions towards their pensions.  Oh piss off.

Don’t worry, though, there will be a consultation, which as we all know will cost the tax-payer dearly to conduct before eventually being ignored!

Thankfully, all other politicians seem to think it’s a bad idea to put these MPs’ wages up.  Thank gawd eh?  I mean…just reading their quoted comments in the newspapers and hearing them relayed on TV really helps a lot.  Thanks guys…you’re all useless.

So…what can we do if this pay rise actually goes ahead?  I’ll give you a clue.

It starts with ‘no’ and ends with ‘thing’.
